Throughout my life I have been involved in many sports and physical exercise regimes. At school I played for the team in rugby, hockey, cricket and tennis (as number one). I took tennis and table-tennis to a high standard, playing for my county in both sports and in the nationals in tennis. I have also become proficient at other sports such as pool, football, basketball, swimming, cycling and bowling. Through the years I have engaged in yoga, tai chi and weight-training/calisthenics.

NOTE: I will get videos up here in the future. Stay tuned!

Tennis

I started playing tennis competitively at the age of ten. I played as number one for both my school teams, as number three or four for my county, and I also played in the nationals. I preferred playing on clay because it suited my style, which involved fast court coverage, solid groundstrokes and drop-shots. When I first started playing, I was very small and not very strong. In order to get more power behind my shots, my Dad recommended I use a two-handed grip. I did, and it stuck ever since. I won numerous tournaments across the southern region, but perhaps the highlight of my career was beating, on a number of occasions, a guy that went on to play in the Wimbledon qualifiers.

Table Tennis

Following in my father's footsteps, I began playing table tennis from an early age. I later started playing for teams in the divisions, I won numerous tournaments and I played for my county. I'm predominantly an attacking player, but have excellent defence too.

Yoga

I began researching yoga when I was 17, and really began engaging in yoga asanas (postures) at the age of 20. I am capable of doing intermediate postures, and am hoping to be able to do the more advanced asanas in the future. Yoga, for me, is a fantastic health and fitness discipline. The body and mind are interconnected, and releasing tension and stress in the body seems to bring about calmness and youthfulness.

Pool

My pool skills are very good. I have '7 balled' my oponent a number of times off the break.

Rugby

I played rubgy for the school teams at both my schools, as scrum-half. I have played for Wessex. My qualities were being able to deliver the ball quickly out of the scrum to the fly-half, and excellent dummying skills.

Weight Training

From my mid-teens, I read a lot of health and fitness magazines which really built up my knowledge of the benefits and techniques of effective training. I really began to push my body in the gym at the age of 21, which transformed my physique and gave me security and confidence.

Swimming

I am a competent swimmer and am capable of doing a full length under water. Swimming is great as it not only improves cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone, but it seems to connect you to a more spiritual side in the water.

Cycling

I am a good cyclist, both long and short distance.

Basketball

I began to play basketball at school when I was about 14 years old. I am a very good 3 point shooter and I have solid dribbling skills.

Cricket

I played cricket for both my school teams and also for the county when I was younger. My main strength was my leg-spin bowling skills, which foiled many opposing batsmen.

Bowling

I began bowling regularly when I was 27 with my Dad. My highest score is 219, which consisted of 3 strikes, 3 spares, another 3 strikes and an 8.

Tai Chi

I began researching the ancient chinese discipline of Qigong when I was about 17 years old and began to integrate Tai Chi into my fitness regime when I was about 20.

Frisbee

During the summers of 2001 and 2002, I played frisbee with my friends, and became rather good at it.
